I have to print an ad for name change in two national newspapers. I am a resident of Sikkim and therefore would like to know what does one really mean by a national newspaper? And if The Telegraph and The Statesman qualify as national newspapers.

Answer:

National Newspapers refer to the English or Hindi Newspapers that are circulated across different locations across India or have a national presence. Whereas regional newspapers refer to the newspapers that are specific to certain regions and locations. In case of Name Change ads, you can publish the ad in one national and one regional or local newspaper.

The Statesman and The Telegraph are both regional newspapers which are published in English. You can get your Name Change ad released in any of these newspapers and for a National Newspaper, you can get your ad released in Times of India. You can review the ad rates and packages for advertising in any of the newspapers provided above.

When you select the edition, you are taken to the Compose Ad section, where you can create the ad with the help of our ad samples and the enhancements. You must also select the sub-category as Change of Name, so that it is published under the appropriate section. To confirm the ad booking, you must specify the ad release dates and proceed to make the payment for the same through the online or offline payment mediums.

Also remember that once you have booked the ad, you must send us a Notarized Affidavit testifying the change in your name.
