Is Notary mandatory to put the ad for name change in Malayala Manorama. I am currently living in Dubai. Please help me with the required documents and other booking details.

Answer:

Changes of name classifieds are extremely personal ads and are published in newspapers with an intention to prove that the reason behind your name change is genuine and not as a result of any illegal intentions. Hence we need a legal verification in the authenticity of the claim that you make. Therefore it is compulsory that you upload all the legal documents of your name change as the newspaper house would require them to ensure editorial approval.

A Notarized Affidavit of Name Change is required for publishing any change of name ad in the newspaper.  Apart from this a copy approved and signed by a Government Gazette Officer is also acceptable. You can upload the documents in our Compose Ad section.

To view the rates please visit the Malayala Manorama Matrimonial Ad Rates page. On this page you just need to select the edition and then proceed to compose the ad. You can take the help of our online ad enhancements or sample templates to compose your ad online. Specify the sub category as change of name and then click the Choose File option to attach the supporting documents.

You can also visit our exclusive ReleaseMyAd Change-of-Name website which allows you to book ads for name change ads only in any newspaper of your choice.

Select the dates and make the final payment. You can pay by online Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards or Wire Transfer. Offline you can deposit a Cheque/Draft/Cash to your nearest ICICI Bank. We do provide Cash Collection option to receive the payment from your end.
