Is this a print ad or online advertising?
Print. You book it online in minutes, but the ad appears in the printed newspaper — in the business classifieds column of the paper and edition you choose. If what you want is online marketing, this is not that page. What this books is a business proposal, franchisee, dealership or business-for-sale classified in the paper.
How much does a business ad cost in the newspaper?
Classified text is charged per line, so a tight proposal is the cheapest option — the rate finder above shows the real figure for your paper and edition before you share anything, at official rates with a lowest-price guarantee. Classified display, which carries your logo, a border and colour, is charged per sq.cm. Both are per insertion, plus 5% GST.
What should a franchisee or dealership ad say?
Keep it to what an investor needs to decide whether to call: what the business or brand is, what you are offering — franchise, dealership, distributorship, agency or an outright sale — the territory or city, the investment or area required, and how to reach you. Send it in any order and we set it in the paper's format and show a proof before it prints.
Which edition covers my market?
A classified runs only in the editions you choose, and each covers specific districts, not a whole state. For a dealership or territory offer that is the point — you want the districts you are appointing for, not a national buy. Tell us the territory and we confirm which editions cover it before you pay.
Which day should a business ad run?
Weekend editions carry the heaviest classified readership, and several papers run their business or opportunities column on a fixed day. Weekday insertions cost the same per line. Because this is a low-volume, high-intent ad, two or three insertions usually work better than one — we will tell you which days that paper carries the column.
When will it publish?
Most papers have a same-day or next-morning cut-off — book before the cut-off and it runs the next day. Weekend pages book out earlier, so give yourself a day's margin. We confirm the exact cut-off for your paper and edition before you pay.
Can you write or translate the ad for me?
Yes — free. Send the offer in any language and we draft the matter, trim it to the paper's line limit, translate it into the paper's language — Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Marathi and more — and show you a proof before it prints.
How do I know the ad actually ran?
After publication you can view your ad in that paper's e-paper for the published date and edition, or buy a local copy of that edition. You also get a GST invoice for the booking, in your company's name if you need one.
